I had two older versions of this hard drive in my old gaming machine. They served me well, so when it was time to get a hard drive for my Dell Precision T3500 I trusted that the new model would work just as well. It’s working just fine. I’ve had really good luck with Western Digital drives in general – haven’t had one fail yet. Not saying they never fail, just that it hasn’t happened to me with a Western Digital drive and it’s happened 3 times so far with other brands of hard drives I’ve owned since 1995. I actually reinstalled my old WD 1TB Black drives in my new machine and they’re working great. I haven’t benchmarked this drive’s performance and don’t plan to – I just know it works, it’s fast, and based on my other WD experiences, it’s reliable.
