Access 2013 updating SharePoint 2013 list “Cannot update. Database or object is read-only”

In Microsoft Access 2013, go to

File >> Options >> Current Database >> Caching Web Service and SharePoint tables

Then untick the checkbox for “Use the cache format that is compatible with Microsoft Access 2010 and later”
